Michele Geronazzo is an associate professor of computer engineering at the University of Padova. Between 2014 and 2021, he held research and academic positions at Imperial College London, Aalborg University, the University of Udine. He is part of the organizing committee of the IEEE VR Workshop on Sonic Interactions for Virtual Environments since 2015 (chair of the 2018, 2020, and 2022 editions). He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing, ACM Transactions on Applied Perception, Springer-Nature’s journal Multimedia Tools and Applications, and Editor of the Book “Sonic Interactions in Virtual Environments”. He is a co-recipient of six best paper/poster awards and a co-author of more than a hundred scientific publications. His main research interests involve modeling and simulation of complex human-machine sonic interactions.

Floriana Ferro is an Adjunct Professor of Theory and Criticism of Architecture and Postmodern Cities at the University of Trieste and Adjunct Professor of Philosophy at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She previously held research fellowships at the University of Udine and was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Catania. She is the author of the book Fenomenologia del digitale (Mimesis, 2024) and has published in international journals such as Foundations of Science and Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences. Her main research interests include phenomenology, philosophy of technology and artificial intelligence, perception, embodiment, and human–machine interaction.

Alessandro Privitera is a researcher in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence whose scientific interests include audio virtual and augmented reality, personalised experience evaluation in augmented environments, sonic interaction, and human-computer interaction. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics at the University of Udine. He obtained a degree in Computer Engineering in 2010 and a Degree in Electronic Music Composition in 2020. Between 2010 and 2014, he worked as a research assistant at the Human-Inspired Technology Lab at the University of Padua, contributing to several European projects, including CEEDs (The Collective Experience of Empathic Data Systems), CultAR (Culturally Enhanced Augmented Realities), and NEWIP (Nightlife Empowerment & Well-Being Implementation Project).

Andrea Gulli is a postdoctoral researcher in the REM@KE project, where he develops computational architectures for representing and reasoning over complex musicological knowledge. He received his PhD from the University of Udine, conducting interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computer science, auditory perception, and pediatric audiology. He later worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the PRIN S-TWIN project at the University of Padova, contributing to research on auditory digital twins for cochlear implant rehabilitation, longitudinal phonological development, and immersive software systems. Trained in mathematics, performing arts, and computer science, his research combines formal modeling with experimental approaches. His main interests include probabilistic reasoning, knowledge graphs, machine learning, auditory XR, and the computational modeling of complex interdisciplinary processes in healthcare and cultural heritage.
